Refurbished Computer for Rural Schools Project:

It seems easier to discard a working computer. Increasingly, discarded computers are only three or four years old and many years of useful life are unnecessarily squandered in developed countries.

BANGLA-IT is working with :

                       2. National Cristina Foundation

That's where BANGLA -IT comes in. We need computer donations for our expanding programs. We give new life to your donated computers connecting poor youth in Bangladesh to the Internet.


For corporations & individual donors : Please e-mail us of your interest from this site and we will help you with all of the logistics. If you are making a larger donation of equipment, we will work with you to arrange for shipping.

  1. Working PC Computers (including laptops) that are at least Pentium III with all parts
  2. Working PC Color Monitors with bases if possible
  3. Power cords for computers, monitors, and printers
  4. Transformers from 110 v to 220 v
  5. PC Keyboards
  6. PC Mice
  7. PC Computer-to-Monitor cables
  8. PC Printers with paper drawers, toner (if possible), and cables
  9. PC Software, drivers, and manuals
  10. Desirable: floppy drives, internal or external modems, extra network cards, sound cards, speakers, CD ROMS, microphones, and earphones

Other Requested Equipment :

  1. Working Servers with Linux or Unix on it or any computer that has been configured as a Server.
  2. Working Scanners with cables
  3. Working Digital Cameras with connection cable for computer
  4. Working LCD projectors
  5. Working FAX machines
  6. Power strips and surge protectors
  7. UPS's (Uninterrupted Power Supply)
  8. Transformers from 110 v to 220 v for monitors
  9. Ethernet cable
  10. Routers and hubs
